A homemade smoothie is a wonderful way to help you feel great all day long!
While you were sleeping, your body was in "rest, recovery, and restore" mode, which means your digestive system needs a kick-start in the morning.
Overnight, your body has essentially been fasting, so what you put into your "tank" after waking up is going to set the tone for your entire day.
Here's my absolute FAVORITE recipe for a fast & easy smoothie you can use to five yourself an incredibly nutritious boost...
1 cup blueberries (antioxidants)
1 handful spinach (fiber, calcium, vitamin A, C, and K)
1/2 banana (potassium)
1 scoop protein powder (I use a pea protein called Nuzest*)
1 tablespoon almond butter (Monounsaturated fat)
1 tablespoon flax seed (Omega-3)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (calcium and vitamin E)
